Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the same institute behind Semax. It is built from tuftsin, a naturally occurring four amino acid peptide, extended with the same Pro-Gly-Pro tail used in Semax to improve stability.
