How to Verify a Research Peptide Supplier Is Legit
Published October 19, 2026
The fastest way to verify a research peptide supplier is to check four things: a Certificate of Analysis that matches the lot number on your vial, testing by an independent lab, a real business you can contact, and labeling that stays within research use only. A supplier that passes all four is giving you something you can check rather than something you have to trust.
Match the COA to the Vial
A COA is only useful if it belongs to the material in your hands. Look for a lot or batch number on the vial label and confirm the same number appears on the COA. A generic COA with no lot number, or one dated years ago, tells you very little about what was shipped to you.
Look for Independent Testing
Many suppliers post a COA from the manufacturer. That is a start, but it is the seller grading its own work. An independent lab with no stake in the sale adds a second, unbiased check. At DryV, every lot is tested by our supplier and then retested by Freedom Diagnostics. Both results are posted on our Lab Results page.
Check for Both HPLC and Mass Spectrometry
HPLC measures purity, meaning how much of the sample is the target peptide. Mass spectrometry confirms identity, meaning the molecule is actually what the label says. A purity number alone does not prove identity, so a strong COA reports both. Our guide on reading a COA walks through each section.
Confirm a Real Business Behind the Website
A legitimate supplier has a physical address, a working phone number, and an email that gets answered. DryV Life is a family business at 807 E Street in Springfield, Oregon. You can text us at 541-764-1118 or email info@dryvlife.com, and local customers can pick up in person.
Watch the Labeling
Research peptides are sold for laboratory use. A supplier that makes health claims, suggests doses, or markets products for human use is ignoring the rules that apply to this category, and that is a warning sign about how carefully it handles everything else.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the most important thing to check before buying research peptides?
A Certificate of Analysis that matches the lot number on your vial, ideally from an independent lab, with both HPLC purity and mass spectrometry identity results.
Is a manufacturer COA enough?
It is useful, but an independent retest adds a check from a lab with no stake in the sale. DryV posts both for every lot.
